Single-payer health bill fails in California

By just 2 votes, a bill to provide “Medicare for all,” California Senate Bill 810, fell short of the 21 votes needed to pass.  It’s not dead yet–it  may be taken up again next week.  Read the stories from the Los Angeles Times, The Sacramento Bee, and California Healthline here.
