PubMed results – A new option for export

Are you tired of all the steps that it takes to export references from PubMed? Now it’s a bit easier.  PubMed has just added a new option to its Send to menu:  Citation manager which combines 2 steps–creating a file, then formatting it– into one.

  1. Select the references you want to export
  2. Click the Send to link and choose Citation manager
  3. Click Create file
  4. In the “Opening citations.nbib” window, You can either choose “Save the file to your desktop” option and import the file in the usual way, or if you use EndNote, you can choose to “Open with” option, browse to and select the EndNote program, select the PubMed filter and your references will be imported.
