Hispanics are the largest minority in the United States, so it is critical to address the health needs and issues that impact Spanish-speaking parents. That’s why the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has developed a Spanish-language resource to serve Hispanic families with reliable children’s health and safety information.
HealthyChildren.org en Español (www.healthychildren.org/Espanol) aims to improve child health literacy among Hispanic parents and caregivers so they may better understand disease prevention and treatment and as a result, feel empowered to be proactive about their children’s health.
With all of the same great features as our award-winning English site, as well as nearly 2,000 translated articles, HealthyChildren.org en Español is an outstanding resource for your Spanish- speaking families. Parents will enjoy favorites such as
- Pregúntele al pediatra (Ask the Pediatrician)
- KidsDoc—Revise sus síntomas (KidsDoc Symptom Checker)
- Encuentre un pediatra (Find a Pediatrician)
- Temas de actualidad (Hot Topics)
- …and much more!
Don’t speak Spanish? No worries! You can easily toggle between the English and Spanish sites, making it possible for everyone to communicate important health and safety information to Hispanic parents.
For a limited time only, we will give all HealthyChildren.org en Español registered users a free KidsDoc Symptom Checker app for iPhone or iPad—developed in Spanish, of course!
